Introducing The A to Z Program

The NCRA’s “A to Z” is coming to Atlanta!  A to Z is a program that has been started to try to grow our court reporting numbers in Georgia by letting the community know and understand court reporting.  Please tell people – especially high schoolers and people starting to figure out their career path – about this exciting new idea designed to get folks interested in court reporting before they invest in a machine and tuition.  It’s a precursor to court reporting school (oh, the fun times!).

A to Z works with small groups of participants as they learn how to write the alphabet and numbers in steno.  This program does not follow any particular theory.  Participants will use loaner steno machines during in-person session and outside practice.  Dip your toe in the world of court reporting and learn about all the possible ways you can make money in this field!

We will start in mid-June, Tuesday evenings, one time/week, and continue for seven weeks.  The venue is Brown College, in Midtown.  There is a nominal fee.

If you know anyone who is interested, please email

Calling for Your Old Machines!

In order to fill our profession with new students and great graduates, we are starting the A to Z program next week, June 20, 2017, in Atlanta. A to Z is for people who think they want to start court reporting but aren’t quite sure. This program lends them a machine, teaches them letters, numbers, and some words, and introduces them to our great profession.

We are in need of some steno machines. We prefer a machine that has a display, i.e., no old paper machines. If you have a machine you can lend us, please email Kerry Anderson at She will take good care of your machine and make sure it is returned to you. But we are in desperate need!

Thank you very much for your support!
