GSRA Members Receive...

  • State Affiliation with NCRA: You get up-to-date information on events and trends nationwide through our affiliation with a strong national organization. NCRA provides training to all state leaders so we can provide the best possible leadership to our members. NCRA also provides the state leaders' web site that gives GSRA the resources necessary to help protect our role as guardians of the record and important information in order to stay competitive and marketable. GSRA is your "eyes and ears" for staying informed on a national level as well as in Georgia.
  • Legislative Representation: You get a watchful eye and a loud voice in Georgia's legislature. Each year GSRA sends a representative to NCRA's Boot Camp to receive training on how to formulate fast, effective responses to practices or legislation that threatens the court reporting profession nationwide as well as in Georgia.
  • Training and Information: You get training and information to help you stay on top of the fast paced changes in your profession. GSRA provides seminars on a variety of topic ranging from business practices to technology seminars. You also receive continuing education points you need to maintain your designations. Members of GSRA receive a significant discount on seminar fees and Gold Notes members even receive an additional 10% discount.
  • Mentor Program: GSRA provides a mentor program designed to link students in advanced speed classes with experienced reporters who can provide help and encouragement and often assist with placement upon graduation. GSRA also provides scholarships to deserving students enrolled in court reporting schools.
  • Newsletter: You get all the news that is fit to print - and then some. Short Strokes is GSRA's quarterly newsletter, filled with inside news from around the state as well as nationally, latest in technology, all the things to help keep you up on what's happening.
